The role

We are seeking a customer-focused Golf Course Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of Sefton Golf Course.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, supporting enquiries, transactions, bookings, shop sales, golf functions and general golf course operations. You will help deliver a welcoming and high-quality customer experience in line with Council’s values and the Sefton Golf Customer Service Charter.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

· Serve as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and transactions.
· Perform cashiering duties, including use of the POS system, reporting and balancing.
· Support golf course bookings, administration and general office duties.
· Assist with golf functions, events, shop sales and golfing equipment or accessories.
· Support cooking, food preparation and general daily cleaning duties.
· Respond to customer complaints and compliments professionally, escalating where required.
· Ensure compliance with Council policies, procedures and service standards.

You will have:

· Current First Aid and CPR certification.
· Current Working with Children Check.
· Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the golf industry, including rules, handicap system, equipment and golfing accessories.
· Experience in a customer service environment and excellent customer service skills.
· Experience using a Point of Sale system, including reporting and balancing.
· Administration experience and basic computer skills.

 

The hourly rate for this opportunity is $30.92, Grade A, Step 1, plus 25% casual loading and 12% super.
