The role
We are seeking a proactive Site Supervisor to provide on-site leadership and support at our Roselands Leisure and Aquatic Centre. This role is responsible for guiding staff, upholding safety and service standards, and assisting the Leisure & Aquatic Services Leadership Team to deliver high-quality community experiences.
You’ll ensure operational procedures are followed, staff are well-trained, and service aligns with our Customer Service Charter. The role includes Senior Duty Manager shifts, as well as supervisory, administrative, and operational tasks that support the wider team.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Provide leadership and supervision to Leisure & Aquatic staff.
- Support training and offer technical advice to the team.
- Perform Duty Manager or Lifeguard shifts (minimum two per week).
- Oversee daily operations and seasonal task coordination.
- Ensure safe work practices and WHS compliance.
- Assist in planning and evaluating centre operations.
- Manage emergency procedures and respond to incidents.
- Supervise bookings, hires, and customer engagement.
- Report incidents and hazards via Solv Safety.
- Monitor cleaning, maintenance, and facility standards.
- Support budget planning and manage daily budget performance.
- Ensure adherence to the Customer Service Charter.
- Manage kiosk/customer service area budgets and purchase orders.
- Build strong relationships with users, clubs, and hirers.
- Handle customer information in line with the Privacy Act.
- Contribute to operations manual reviews and updates.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Leadership Team.

You will have
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality, safe customer experiences
- Skilled in managing staff performance and team operations
- Experience in pool supervision, plant operations, and water quality management
- Able to oversee maintenance and coordinate with trades/contractors
- Strong background in customer service within large leisure/aquatic centres
- Experienced in bookings, facility hire, and relationship management
- Proficient in front-of-house operations, including sales, stock, and memberships
- Skilled in managing space access for multiple user groups
- Effective in resolving operational issues in aquatic/leisure settings
- Knowledgeable in risk assessment and risk management practices
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and digital)
- Proficient in administration and meeting KPIs
- Competent in computer systems and digital tools
Desirable, but not essential, qualifications include Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, AUSTSWIM Teacher of Water Safety certification, tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or Business Administration, and experience delivering CPR and Resuscitation training.
The salary range for this opportunity ranges from $82,701 - $89,155 (Grade F, Step 1-3) + Super + Allowances.
