The role

CBCity is on the lookout for enthusiastic Sports Centre Assistants to infuse their love for sports and outstanding customer service at Morris Iemma Indoor Sports Centre.
 
Your role includes not only delivering top-notch customer service with professionalism and courtesy, along with handling administrative duties but also ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment in line with Council policies and industry standards. 

You'll be the go-to person to resolve customer enquiries and issues, providing accurate information about Council services through personal attention or referral to specialised staff.

We have multiple exciting casual opportunities opening up as we gear up for the busy season!


Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Handle a wide range of inquiries in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience by providing excellent customer service, handling complaints, and feedback.
  • Assist in running after school & school holiday clinics for children 
  • Set up and pack away equipment for sports, private hire and birthday parties 
  • Assist with management of new indoor play centre and birthday party bookings
  • Perform reception/customer service duties using Councils booking System, reporting and balancing.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and security in the Centre.
  • Properly handle and store equipment, assist with programs, and perform first aid as needed.
  • Encourage teamwork and communication through collaborative practices.
  • Keep accurate documentation following customer service procedures.
  • Service our kiosk customers by preparing food and coffee and ensuring a safe clean environment.

You will have

  • Prior experience in a customer service setting with outstanding customer service skills.
  • A valid First Aid Certificate.
  • A current Working with Children's Check.
  • Background in working at an indoor recreational facility or a comparable environment.
  • Proficiency in using a Point of Sale (POS) system, including reporting and balancing.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing customer relationships.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Experience with facility bookings or a similar role (preferred, but not essential).
  • Experience in competition management (preferred, but not essential).
  • Experience in children’s programming (preferred, but not essential).

 

The hourly rate for this casual opportunity starts at $38.08 per hour inclusive of casual loading (Grade B, Step 1) + 11.5% super.
