The Role
A rewarding opportunity has presented itself for a dedicated and driven individual to join our team as a Leading Hand(SawCutting)
In this role you will provide technical knowledge to Team Members to help them with tasks and ensure the work is performed in a timely, cost effective manner to prescribed quality standards.
*This opportunity will be offered on a permanent full-time basis.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Perform day-to-day Road’s Unit maintenance and support functions in an efficient and effective manner.
- Ensure work of the team is performed in a timely, cost effective manner to prescribed quality standards and to meet customer needs.
- Provide operational support to Team Members, Team Leader, Coordinator and Manager
- Ensure that WH&S regulations are met in accordance with Council’s policy, guidelines and associated SWPs and SOPs.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, safety and environmental protection in all works under your control.
- Complete documentation and reporting as required using tablet and other technology supplied.

You will have:
- Current Class C drivers licence.
- WHS Work cover Induction certificate.
- Experience in operation of relevant plant items.
- Experience in Road construction and maintenance operations
- Experience in road works
- Experience in saw cutting equipments
- Experience and knowledge of general civil construction works
- Experience in the estimation of material needs for projects
- Experience leading staff to undertake civil construction tasks
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $69,728 (Grade D, Step 1) + AWACA + 11.5% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
