We’re on the lookout for casual Pool Lifeguards to help keep our aquatic centres safe, fun, and flowing smoothly.
You’ll be front and centre, keeping watch, supporting our visitors, and creating a great vibe for all ages, across our locations in Birrong, Revesby and Roselands Leisure & Aquatic Centres.
Shifts run Monday to Sunday between 4:30am and 11:00pm, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Enjoy an hourly rate + allowance, and work in a role that really makes waves.
All while staying on top of safety procedures, supervision plans, and Council’s Code of Conduct to ensure everyone enjoys the water, worry-free.
You’ll be responsible for
- Providing outstanding customer service in line with Council’s values and Aquatics Customer Charter.
- Supervising pool areas safely and attentively - never leaving occupied water unattended.
- Following safety procedures, supervision plans, and operational manuals.
- Enforcing water safety rules, including the “Keep Watch @ Public Pools” program.
- Creating a clean, safe, and friendly environment for all visitors.
- Responding to emergencies and first aid situations with confidence.
- Supporting the team through strong communication and teamwork.
- Helping with customer service at the kiosk and merchandise area, including EFTPOS and cash handling.
- Assisting with pool plant operations and chemical dosing (if trained).

You will have:
- RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
- Apply First Aid Certificate.
- Working with Children Check Clearance (if you are over 18)
The rate for this opportunity starts at $39.23p/h (including Casual Loading) + AWCA1 Allowance + 12% super. This rate may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
