We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.

 

 

The role

CBCity is seeking a Team Leader Spatial and Customer Information to lead the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused services and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of Council’s spatial information systems.

 

This role is key to driving innovation and maintaining reliable data to support decision-making across the organisation.

 

 

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Lead and coach the team to achieve service and performance outcomes.
  • Continuously improve processes and customer experience through service reviews and capability development.
  • Manage Council’s GIS and property systems, ensuring accurate data and high-quality outputs.
  • Oversee property numbering processes and maintain the Name and Address Register.
  • Deliver high-level customer service with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Lead projects and perform additional duties aligned with skills and experience.

You will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Spatial Information, GIS, or a related field.
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams to achieve results.
  • Strong background in spatial information services and GIS systems.
  • Expertise in property and related spatial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Demonstrated alignment with Council’s values.

 

Desirable, but not essential: experience working in the public sector, and proficiency in using MapInfo or AutoCAD.

 

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required for this position.

 

 

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $122,553 (Grade J, Step 1) + Super. Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
