The role
We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Learning and Development Officer to join our People and Performance team. In this permanent full-time role, you will coordinate Council’s internal training programs and support workforce development by consulting with teams, managing budgets, and leading training initiatives that align with CBCity’s strategic goals.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong stakeholder engagement, coordination experience, and a passion for supporting continuous learning in a dynamic organisation.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Coordinate internal training plans and manage training budgets
• Consult with business units to prioritise learning needs
• Lead the delivery of WHS and compliance training programs
• Research external training solutions and manage logistics
• Maintain training records and monitor learning metrics
• Support key L&D programs and internal development initiatives
• Build relationships with stakeholders and provide excellent customer service
• Use learning management systems to support training operations

You will have
• Relevant experience or tertiary qualifications in L&D, Org Development, or a related field
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems
• Excellent communication, time management and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with stakeholders
• A current Driver Licence

Desirable experience includes:
• Knowledge of local government or large corporate environments
• Experience with Success Factors (LMS)
• Experience in training delivery and workshop facilitation

The salary for this opportunity starts at $82,701 (Grade F, Step 1) plus 12% super.
