We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents. 

 

The role

CBCity is seeking a Contracts Officer to manage and oversee all aspects of Council’s ICT contracts. In this role, you’ll lead contract negotiations, ensure compliance, support procurement activities, and work closely with stakeholders to improve ICT procurement processes. 


You’ll play a key role in managing risk, building strong vendor relationships, and ensuring the organisation gets the best value from its ICT investments.

 

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop and manage ICT contract frameworks, templates, and processes
  • Review contracts for compliance, performance, and risk management
  • Oversee contract renewals, amendments, and terminations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ICT vendors
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams on vendor issues
  • Support negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and service levels
  • Contribute to ICT procurement strategies and vendor selection
  • Guide stakeholders on best practices in contract management
  • Monitor trends and update practices to align with industry standards

You will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Business, Procurement, or related field
  • Proven experience in ICT contract and vendor management
  • Strong written, verbal, and negotiation skills
  • Solid understanding of contract law and procurement principles
  • Skilled in risk analysis, problem-solving, and financial evaluation
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
  • Knowledge of ICT regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
  • Desirable, but not essential: experience working in the public sector in a technology environment or, project management. 

 

The salary range for this opportunity starts at $82,701 (Grade F, Step 1) + 12% Super.

Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
