Canterbury-Bankstown Council is one of the largest Council’s in NSW with the most culturally, socially and economically diverse communities in Sydney. We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents.
We are seeking a suitably qualified independent member to join our Audit Risk and Improvement Committee (ARIC).
The ARIC has been established in accordance with s428A of the Local Government Act (1993). The objective of the Committee is to provide independent assurance, oversight, and assistance to Council on risk management, control, governance, internal audit, organisational performance and external responsibilities in an advisory capacity.
The appointment is for an initial term of four years effective April 2025 to April 2029.
